Brandee came to me for the marketing of a soft launch for her yoga and astrology offerings in Morin-Heights. Working with local talent was her intent and I was here for it !! Brandee’s passions have fused to create a one-of-a-kind offering : an astrological approach to yoga and well being. Brandee’s focus is “Women’s embodiment and empowerment through astrology, yoga, sacred medicine journeys and coaching”. Imaging a self-care routine curated specifically for you, your charts, and your goals (mental, emotional and physical). Brandee creates a safe space for her clients, and her images needed to reflect a quiet wisdom, a grounding force, peace, authenticity and approachability. We designed a short photo session and marketing tools catered for these needs and budget.
Brandee’s custom package included a special mini-session at the client’s home. What does that look like ? After filling out my branding questionnaire, we established that professional studio portraits were not exactly what we were looking for... We wanted more of a homey, lifestyle approach. I went over with my lights and reflectors, scouted for the perfect location for the portraits and decided the oval window in their dinning room was perfect, I love natural light ! Set-up a reflector close on my left side to bounce that natural light back in, plus a light bouncing off the opposite wall / ceiling as a fill to soften the contrast.
It wasn’t the longest photo session, 20 minutes to be exact, but I think we got great results !! Her partner, Eric, even stepped in for a quick professional portrait of his own, plus a couple’s image to market their joint offerings. Eric Antonette’s specialties are anger management and regression therapy, as well as operating as a relationship coach offering personalized therapy, coaching, and holistic practices to help you reconnect, release, and grow. Together, they offer trauma-informed retreats to help their clients heal from the inside out. It was a great privilege to be able to photograph this power duo in support of their work !!

When a client requests graphic design work, I ask for their Brand Guide. A Branding Guide helps me (as a photographer & graphic designer) understand the aesthetics, the messaging and the elements that keep their business visually coherent. I enjoy and value visual coherence, it’s my jam. It’s why when Brandee told me she did not have a Branding Guide despite the fact that she has a team of professionals helping her create her materials, it was my cue to create one for her. Using what she had already published on her website and socials, I studied, researched and evaluated the main colour schematics and styles, paired them down to the essentials and honed down the messaging for a harmonious balance. I also created a bilingual logo, sourced and curated some free stock images that she could use, gathered my whole ‘consultative’ analysis and conclusion in the document below :
