My Studio, My Office, My Boutique and ME

I'm a creator. I'm a maker. I'm a builder. I'm an artist. I'm a lover. I'm a woman. I'm a mother. I'm a daughter. I'm a sister. I'm a friend. I'm a partner. I'm a caretaker. I'm a wonderer. I'm an entrepreneur. I'm a photographer. I'm an editor. I'm a carpenter. I'm a crafter. I'm a new blog writer. I'm a designer. I'm my webmaster and graphic designer. I'm a new marketer. I'm a painter. I'm a gardener. I'm a cook. I'm a chef. I'm a gatherer. I'm a trash hunter and re-purposer. I'm a hostess. I'm a yogi. I'm a canoe-camper. I'm a volleyball player. I'm a hiker. I'm a pet owner. I'm a dreamer. I'm a book wide open. I'm a responsible citizen. I'm a manager. I'm a problem solver. I'm open of heart. I'm open of mind. All in all, I am a multi-potentialite!*

The potential of all my knowledge, skills and tools are hard to put into a neat little package.  It's hard to describe the essence of what I do...  CUSTOM ARTWORK, visual and functional solutions to empty walls and spaces, that's what I love to do!  First and foremost, I'm a photographer.  Portrait photography has always been a main interest of mine and my photography business revolves mostly around that.  My specialties are hard to contain to one particular thing, I like to call myself a multi-disciplinary artist with many interests.  I love finding the right and unique photography product for my clients so to provide them with valuable artwork.  I've innovated my own designs and techniques and build light table installations that serve to explore light, depth, emotion and personal experiences, to create personalized and patent pending PhotoSculptures with my use and expertise of Photoshop. I have drawing and carpentry skills that enable me to design, create and build custom installations.  I love mounting panoramique views for large wall prints.  Nature surrounds me and my inventory of 'nature shots' is outstanding, macro being my favorite angle.  Go check out my new image banks, for artwork or stock imaging needs... also, these banks have just started and will grow!  I have a large inventory, or collections, of drift wood, branches, other odd wood pieces, old windows and old frames.  I have, too many to count, craft drawers.  My home studio and workshop are getting more and more organized and equipped with great props, unique items & ideas, and fabulous samples.  I could probably find more stuff to add here....

My Office & Boutique

Although I love going on-location for photo shoots with my portable equipment in my new little Subaru... I  mostly work from home!  Editing & most viewings happens in this office space.  Here you'll find samples of products and photographic mediums that are available to explore and touch.  Sometimes, table top photography happens here too.  All my drawing, painting, cutting, finishing, packaging, and some other stuff happens in this room also.  Click to enlarge photos.

My choice to live in the country side, 55 minutes north of Montréal, to raise my family has allowed for a very privileged lifestyle AND enough room for a variety of indoor studio spaces, outdoor locations, a large office and finishing space, a garage for my dirty wood working activities, and a large AirBnB bedroom suite and spa.

Almost always ready, I provide experiences for my guests and clients, not just artwork.

My Home Studio

Maybe a third of my jobs lately have been on-location but when I shoot at home, this is where the magic happens...  My home studio is in my basement and does not have much natural light, but the possibilities this studio offers are endless and growing. The unfinished floor allows me to paint backdrops and props down there, get all crafty & messy...  The unfinished ceiling allows me to hang swings and props safely for 3 dimensional sets.  Versatile and organized I can make it do most things and ideas I have in my head. Natural light portraits and boudoir can be achieved in setups elsewhere in my home.  Exterior photo sessions, despite being very dependent on weather, are always favorites of mine!  There are many locations near my home that offer great natural backdrops; lakes, rivers, water falls, old growth stumps, quaint wooden bridges in the woods, trails...

One of my next blogs will be a showcase of my Studio Results & Possibilities with shots of all images that I've created in or around my home studio.

My displays, my studio and parts of my office are always in movement, always changing to cater to my needs...  Here are some shots of my studio spaces while I get ready for a variety of sessions, a bean bag baby session and corporate head shot sessions.

Keep in mind that studio set-up pull backs are hard to light...

Here's some photos of me in action in some of the locations around my home studio!  This photo shoot for the Gurugrid was so fun!
